The Aztecs
The Aztecs were a group of people who lived a long time ago in Mexico. They built big cities and had many interesting ideas. Their most famous city was called Tenochtitlan, which had floating gardens and tall buildings.
The Aztecs loved nature and believed in many gods. They used a special calendar to know when to plant crops and celebrate festivals. One of their most important foods was maize, which is a type of corn we still eat today.
People in Aztec cities lived in homes made of mud and stone. They wore clothes from cotton and decorated them with bright colors. Markets were full of goods like pottery, toys, and beautiful featherwork.
Today, we can still see Aztec ideas in Mexico City and other places. Their stories, art, and symbols are remembered and loved by many people around the world. The Aztecs showed us how to work together and respect the world around us.
