Developed countries are places where people live very well. They have strong economies, modern technology, and good quality of life. These countries often have lots of services, like hospitals and schools, instead of just factories or farms.

Many developed countries are in Europe. For example, Norway, Japan, Canada, and Iceland are all known for their high living standards. These countries also have strong economies, which means they make and sell many goods and services.

People often measure how developed a country is by looking at things like the Human Development Index (HDI). This looks at how long people live, how much education they have, and how much money they make. Countries with very high HDI scores, like Norway, Japan, Canada, and Iceland, are usually considered developed.

Developed countries also help other countries that are still growing. They might give money or share knowledge to help these countries improve. This support can help everyone live better around the world.
