Welcome to Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a tiny place with big stories! It is a small piece of land at the very end of Spain, close to where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Though it is only about as big as six football fields, Gibraltar is very special because of its location.
The most famous spot in Gibraltar is the huge Rock of Gibraltar. This tall limestone mountain looks like a giant’s castle. Many people visit just to see this amazing rock. At the top of the rock, there is a nature area where you can find special monkeys called Barbary macaques. These are the only monkeys that live wild in Europe!
About 34,000 people, called Gibraltarians, call this place home. They speak English, and many also speak Spanish. Life in Gibraltar is busy and friendly, with lots of shops, restaurants, and places to explore.
Gibraltar has a warm climate, perfect for outdoor fun all year round. The people here enjoy celebrating special days like Gibraltar National Day with colorful flags and music. Even though it is very small, Gibraltar has a big heart and many wonderful stories to share.
