Meet the Wonderful Horse
Horses are friendly animals that many people love. They are large, four-legged friends that can run very fast. Horses belong to a group called Equidae, which means they are related to other animals like zebras and donkeys.
Horses live all around the world. They were first tamed in Central Asia a long time ago, and now they are found in many places like Europe, Asia, and the Americas. People use horses for many things, such as riding, racing, and even helping with work on farms.
Horses come in many different sizes and colors. Some are small and called ponies, while others are big and strong. They can be chestnut, black, bay, and many other beautiful colors. Each horse has its own special look that makes it unique.
Baby horses are called foals. They are born after their mothers carry them for about 11 months. Foals can stand and walk very soon after they are born. Horses can live for up to 30 years if they are well taken care of.
Horses love to run and play. They have four main ways of moving: walking, trotting, cantering, and galloping. Galloping is the fastest and is what we see in horse races. Horses are very smart and can learn many tricks with patience and kindness from their friends, humans.
Horses are social animals and like to live in groups. They make sounds like nickering and whinnying to talk to each other. They also use their bodies to show feelings and thoughts. With proper care and love, horses make wonderful companions and helpers for people everywhere.
