Japan Air Lines Flight 123

Japan Air Lines Flight 123 was a flight from Tokyo to Osaka in Japan. On August 12, 1985, something went wrong with the plane just after it took off. The plane could not be controlled and had to land in a very sad way.

The plane crashed near Mount Takamagahara, not far from Tokyo. Many people were on the plane, and most of them did not survive. This sad event is one of the most remembered in airplane history.

People learned a lot from this event to help make flying safer for everyone. Today, there are special places where people remember those who were on the flight. These places are in Fujioka, Ueno, Gunma, and at Osutaka Ridge.

The story of this flight has been told in many TV shows and books, helping others learn about airplane safety. Even though it was a very sad time, it helped make flying much safer for all of us.
