This is because songs can be shared as digital files. People in Africa, Indonesia, and the Middle East mix their own music styles with popular music to create new and exciting sounds.

Popular music songs usually have simple melodies that are easy to sing along with. They often repeat parts like the verse and chorus many times. In the past, people mainly listened to music in collections called albums. Now, people can listen to songs anytime and anywhere because of the internet and streaming.

For example, in the United States, rock was very popular in the 1980s, but today pop and hip-hop are often the most loved.

Popular music is enjoyed all around the world. In Africa, music often grows from traditional styles. Young people there use hip-hop to share their stories and connect with others. In Indonesia, music like Dangdut mixes Western styles with local traditions. Even in China, people enjoy a mix of local songs and music from around the world.
Music helps people feel connected, no matter where they live. It brings joy and lets everyone share in the fun of listening and dancing together.
