What is Procera?
Procera is a special group of animals that includes salamanders and caecilians. It does not include frogs. Scientists use groups like this to understand how different animals are related to each other.
Where Does This Idea Come From?
The idea of Procera was first talked about in 1998. Since then, only a few scientists have agreed with it. This means Procera is still just an interesting idea, and many scientists are still learning and talking about it.
Why Do People Know About Procera?
People know about Procera because it helps scientists think about how salamanders and frogs belong to a bigger group called Batrachia. Even though it is not fully accepted, it is a fun way to learn more about these amazing animals!
