What is Tower Fifth?

Tower Fifth is a very tall building that people planned to build in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. A company called Macklowe Properties wanted to make this amazing skyscraper. They have built other famous buildings like the General Motors Building and 432 Park Avenue.

How Tall Would It Be?

If built, Tower Fifth would stand very tall—at 1,556 feet! That would make it the fifteenth tallest building in the world. It would also be the tallest in New York City by how high the roof goes. It would be just a tiny bit taller than the Central Park Tower nearby.

Special Design

The outside, or facade, of Tower Fifth was designed by Gensler. It has a smart system to stay cool. This system blocks 70 percent of the heat from the sun. Near the top, there would be a special place to look out called an observation deck. It would stick out with several floors to give amazing views!
