Gulou Subdistrict, Beijing

Gulou Subdistrict is a part of Miyun District in Beijing, China. It is an important area and serves as the center of the district. The subdistrict has many neighbors, including Miyun Town to the north, Mujiayu Town to the east, Henanzhai Town to the south, and Guoyuan Subdistrict to the west.
As of 2020, Gulou Subdistrict was home to over 154,000 people. It was created in 2005 when part of Miyun Town was separated to form this new area. The name "Gulou" means "Drum Tower" in Chinese, and it comes from an old Miyun Drum Tower that once stood in the region. Today, Gulou Subdistrict remains a vibrant part of Beijing, reflecting both its rich history and modern growth.
