KXEN was an American software company. It worked from 1998 until 2013. KXEN made tools to help businesses understand data. These tools helped companies make better choices. They were good for companies that needed to look at lots of information fast.
In 2013, KXEN was bought by SAP AG. SAP is a bigger technology company. They make business software. Buying KXEN helped SAP offer more tools to businesses everywhere.
KXEN is not a separate company anymore. But its ideas still help businesses use data today. The work of KXEN is part of how technology helps companies grow.
History
KXEN started in June 1998 by Roger Haddad and Michel Bera. The company was in San Francisco, California, with offices in Paris and London. In September 2013, SAP AG said it would buy KXEN, and by October 1, 2013, the sale was finished.
KXEN was famous for its software that used predictive analytics to help people make better choices.
Predictive analytics
InfiniteInsight was a predictive modeling tool made by KXEN. It helped people find useful information from data. The tool could be used for many jobs, like learning about important factors, grouping people, guessing what might happen next, and suggesting products.
It had extra features like behavior modeling and could use data from SAS or SPSS. Other tools that did similar work included SAS Enterprise Miner, IBM SPSS Modeler, and Statistica. Free tools like the R package and Weka were also available.
