Procera is a group of amphibians that includes salamanders and caecilians but not frogs. Scientists have suggested this group as another way to understand how salamanders and frogs are related to each other within a group called Batrachia.
The idea of Procera was first proposed in 1998. Since then, only a few recent studies have supported this view. This means that while Procera is an interesting idea, it is not yet widely accepted by scientists.
