A residential building under construction in Seattle.

WB1200, also called 1200 Stewart, is a planned pair of very tall buildings in the Denny Triangle area of Seattle, Washington. The buildings will be at the spot where Stewart Street meets Denny Way.

The plan includes 1,048 apartments and shops in two buildings, each 48 stories tall. The shops will be in a special three-story part at the bottom. This area will have a large indoor space that looks like a gallery. One fun idea is to place a real Boeing 747-400 airplane there for people to see.

Construction began in 2018 but will not be done until 2026. This is five years later than it was first expected. The Westbank Corporation began the project, but later it was bought by OPTrust.

History

The site at 1200 Stewart Street in Seattle was planned for tall buildings since the late 2000s. Different companies wanted to build homes, hotels, and shops there.

Construction started in 2018 but had delays because of money problems, a pandemic, and labor issues. A new contractor began work in 2023. The project now uses parts of a real Boeing airplane and is expected to open in 2026.

Design

WB1200 is a planned building complex in the Denny Triangle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. It will have two very tall buildings, each 48 stories high, with 1,048 homes. Below the homes, there will be a large shopping area with many shops and a music venue that can hold over 2,000 people.

The shopping area will also have a special indoor walkway connecting two streets. In this walkway, there will be a large piece from an old airplane hanging above. The homes in the tall buildings will have special balconies with gardens, and there will be a dog park and a swimming pool for everyone to use.
