Beijing Evening News, also called Beijing Wanbao (Chinese: 北京晚报; pinyin: Běijīng Wǎnbào), was a popular Chinese language tabloid newspaper from the People's Republic of China. It started on March 15, 1958, and in 1964, the famous leader Mao Zedong wrote its name by hand.

The newspaper had many interesting stories and features. One of its famous pieces was the best-selling novel Beijinger in New York by Glen Cao, which it turned into a television series in 1991. However, in 2002, the paper had to admit it had copied a made-up story from The Onion, claiming the U.S. Congress would move out of Washington D.C. to get better buildings.
