Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, and again beginning in 2025. He is a member of the Republican Party. Born into a wealthy family in New York City, Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. He took over his family's real estate business in 1971, renaming it the Trump Organization, and built a reputation through real estate projects and television.
Trump gained widespread fame for hosting the reality TV show The Apprentice from 2004 to 2015. Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, at Jamaica Hospital in the Queens area of New York City. He was the fourth child of Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. Trump grew up in a large home with his siblings in Jamaica Estates.
He first attended the private Kew-Forest School and later went to the New York Military Academy for his middle and high school years. Trump became known for his big constructions, like the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower. He signed important bills, like one that changed how taxes worked in the United States. He also made many changes to rules about the environment and energy use.

Despite this, he completed his term and left office on January 20, 2021.
