In Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, the characters met actor Kenan Thompson and solved a mystery about a ghost clown. Many episodes from HGTV shows are also filmed around the Atlanta area.

Some TV shows are told as if they happen in Atlanta, even though they were filmed somewhere else. For example, Designing Women and Matlock are set in Atlanta. Other shows like Mindhunter have just a few scenes in Atlanta, while Cavemen was planned to be in Atlanta but moved to San Diego before filming. Shows like Profiler and The Royal Family are also set in the city.
