History

The Daily Mirror began in 1903, created by Alfred Harmsworth, 1st Viscount Northcliffe. Over the years, the company changed owners many times. It became part of Trinity Mirror in 1999 after merging with another group.

In 2018, Trinity Mirror bought several well-known newspapers like the Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, and OK!, and later changed its name to Reach. Despite challenges like falling advertising income, Reach continued to grow, even starting operations in the United States.

Operations

Reach plc operates major newspapers in the UK, such as the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, Sunday People, and the Daily Record. It also prints and distributes many other newspapers.

In 2013, Reach started some experimental websites, but they were closed in 2015. In recent years, Reach has grown its digital presence with new video studios and online brands. In 2025, the Daily Express began a daily YouTube show called the Daily Expresso. Reach also launched services like the OK! Beauty Box and an ecommerce site called Yimbly. In 2025, Reach focused more on video and audio content and began a digital subscription service.
