Xenopeltis intermedius is a non-venomous sunbeam snake species that lives in Vietnam. This snake is special because it has a pattern and body shape that are right in the middle between two of its closest relatives, Xenopeltis unicolor and X. hainanensis. The name intermedius means β€œin the middle,” showing how this snake looks like a mix of the other two. Sunbeam snakes are known for their shiny, smooth skin that looks like it’s glowing in the sunlight, making Xenopeltis intermedius a fascinating creature to learn about.
