The 1892 Florida gubernatorial election happened on October 4, 1892. This election was important for Florida because it helped choose the state's leader for the next term.
The Democratic candidate, Henry L. Mitchell, won the election. He got 78.70% of the votes. His opponent was Alonzo P. Baskin from the People's Party.

Candidates
The main candidates in the 1892 Florida gubernatorial election were Henry L. Mitchell from the Democratic Party and Alonzo P. Baskin from the People's Party. Mitchell was a former Florida Supreme Court Justice and State Representative. Baskin was a former member of the Florida House of Representatives. There was also a candidate named N. J. Hawley from the Prohibition Party.
