2006 ISSF World Cup

The 2006 ISSF World Cup was a big competition for shooting sports. Athletes from all over the world came together to compete in fifteen Olympic shooting events. There were four qualification events held between March and June. The best shooters went on to the ISSF World Cup Final in Granada, Spain, in October. This was special because it was the first time all the finals were held in one place.

During the final in Granada, some amazing records were set. Chinese shooter Du Li matched the world record in the women's Air Rifle with a perfect score of 400. In the men's Air Rifle, Thomas Farnik from Austria broke the final world record.

Another exciting moment was in the 25 m Rapid Fire Pistol event, where Alexei Klimov improved the world record and won the race.

In the men's Trap event, Czech shooter David Kostelecky matched the perfect world record, but he missed some targets in the final. He ended up losing to Olympic and European champion Aleksei Alipov after a shoot-off.
