Biological museum (Stockholm)

The Biologiska museet is a special museum found in Djurgården in Stockholm. It shows many stuffed birds and mammals from Europe, placed in scenes that look like their natural homes. Some of the backgrounds for these scenes were painted by the artist Bruno Liljefors, who was famous for his exciting pictures of Scandinavian animals.

The museum was built in 1893. The building was designed by an architect named Agi Lindegren. He got ideas for the design from old Norwegian stave churches. Today, it remains a wonderful place to learn about wildlife and enjoy beautiful art.
