Djibouti at the 1992 Summer Olympics
Djibouti joined the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. The games happened from 25 July to 9 August. This was the fourth time Djibouti took part in the Summer Olympics. Their first time was at the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles, United States.
Djibouti had eight athletes on their team. Five athletes competed in athletics. They were Houssein Djama, Moussa Souleiman, Omar Daher Gadid, Ahmed Salah, and Talal Omar Abdillahi. Two athletes competed in judo. They were Youssef Omar Isahak and Alaoui Mohamed Taher. One athlete, Robleh Ali Adou, competed in sailing.

Athletics

Djibouti sent five male athletes to the 1992 Summer Olympics for athletics. They were Houssein Djama, Moussa Souleiman, Omar Daher Gadid, Ahmed Salah, and Talal Omar Abdillahi. This was the first time Houssein Djama, Omar Daher Gadid, and Moussa Souleiman competed in the Olympics. Talal Omar Abdillahi was competing in his second Olympics, and Ahmed Salah was in his third.
Houssein Djama ran the men's 1500 meters but did not move on. The winners were from Spain, Morocco, and Qatar. Moussa Souleiman ran the men's 5000 meters but also did not move on. The medals went to athletes from Germany, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Omar Daher Gadid ran the men's 10000 meters but did not advance. The top places were taken by athletes from Morocco, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Both Ahmed Salah and Talal Omar Abdillahi ran in the men's marathon. Salah finished the race, while Abdillahi did not finish. The marathon medals went to athletes from South Korea, Japan, and Germany.

Judo

Djibouti had two male athletes in Judo at the 1992 Summer Olympics: Youssef Omar Isahak and Alaoui Mohamed Taher. Both were appearing in the Olympics for the first time. This was the first time Djibouti joined Olympic Judo events.
Youssef Omar Isahak competed in the men's extra-lightweight division, and Alaoui Mohamed Taher competed in the men's lightweight division.

Djibouti had one male athlete in sailing at the 1992 Summer Olympics: Robleh Ali Adou. This was Adou’s second time in the Olympics, having also competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics.
Adou took part in the mixed Lechner A-390 event. He finished in thirty-ninth place out of forty-three athletes. The medals in this event went to athletes from France, the United States, and Australia.
