Atlanta is a city where people can enjoy many fun festivals and events all year long because of its nice weather and many trees. One of the most popular festivals is the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. This arts and crafts festival happens each spring in Piedmont Park when the beautiful dogwood flowers are blooming.
Another exciting event is Atlanta Streets Alive. This idea comes from Bogotá, Colombia, where they have a special event called ciclovía. During Atlanta Streets Alive, some city streets are closed to cars. This gives people a safe space to enjoy many fun activities together, like bicycling, strolling, skating, watching others, tango, yoga, hula hooping, and even break dancing. These festivals help bring the community together and let everyone enjoy the outdoors in a lively way.
Neighborhood
Atlanta has many fun festivals in different neighborhoods. The Inman Park Festival happens in spring. It has an artist market, live entertainment, and food.
The Kirkwood Spring Fling is in the Kirkwood neighborhood each May. It starts with a run, then has an artist market, live music, home tours, and food trucks. The Little Five Points Halloween Festival happens the weekend before Halloween. It includes a parade and a costume contest. The Virginia Highland neighborhood hosts a summer festival with art and music. It also has home tours in December and a fun run around Easter.
Ethnic
Atlanta has many colorful festivals that celebrate different cultures. The Festival Peachtree Latino is one of the biggest multicultural festivals in the Southeast and happens every year in Piedmont Park. Other fun celebrations include the National Black Arts Festival, Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, St. Patrick's Day parade, Atlanta Greek Festival, the Atlanta Turkish Festival, Festival of India, JapanFest, and Korean Festival.

Atlanta has big celebrations where everyone can feel welcome. Events like Atlanta Pride and Atlanta Black Pride bring people together. There is music, parades, and fun activities. These events show support and joy for all families and friends.
Film
Atlanta has many fun film festivals each year. The Atlanta Film Festival happens every April and shows many different independent movies. There are also other film events like the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, the Atlanta Asian Film Festival, the Out on Film festival, and the Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival.
Another event is the CinErotic FilmFest. It is a three-day festival that shows short movies on old film styles like Super 8mm and 16mm. The Bronzelens Film Festival is also held in Atlanta each year.
Music
Atlanta has many fun music festivals. The biggest one is Music Midtown. It happens in Piedmont Park and features popular bands like Coldplay and The Black Keys. Another festival is the Peachtree Music Festival. It is a one-day event in Midtown with indie rock bands and DJs. Atlanta also holds a big free jazz festival called the Atlanta Jazz Festival. There is also a festival called Corndogorama, started in 1996, with local bands playing indie rock, hip hop, metal, and electronic music. Atlanta also has an Atlanta Trumpet Festival.

Dragon Con is a big yearly event where people come together for many fun activities, including a parade.

Atlanta is a great city for running. Many races happen there every year. One of the most famous is the Peachtree Road Race.
