Grass
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Adventurer experience
Grass refers to different families of plants. The three main families are true grasses (Poaceae), sedges (Cyperaceae), and rushes (Juncaceae). Lawns and pasturelands are usually made of true grasses. Five grasses cover a lot of the world's arable land: rice, wheat, maize, barley, and sugar cane.
The word "grass" comes from an old language meaning "to grow." Grass can also mean a green area like a lawn, park, or field. People often use these spaces for fun activities or sports such as lawn tennis or bowls. Since the 1970s, some sports places have used artificial grass to make upkeep easier.
There is also an internet meme about being afraid of grass, which is a funny way to talk about not spending time outside in nature.
In popular culture
GRASS was a computer language named after plants called Poaceae. It worked like BASIC but had special commands to make animations on a screen.
