The Igapó-Açu River is a river in the Amazonas state in northwestern Brazil. It flows into the larger Madeira River, which is part of the Amazon’s water system.

The river moves through the Purus-Madeira moist forests ecoregion, an area full of plants and animals that live there. The Igapó-Açu River helps support this special place and connects many parts of the Amazon.
