A beautiful botanical garden in Lahore filled with colorful plants and flowers.

Jallo Park, sometimes called Jallo Wildlife Park, was started in 1978. It is a public recreation and wildlife area in Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan. The park covers 461 acres. It is one of three main wildlife parks in Lahore, along with Changa Manga and Lahore Zoo Safari.

Visitors to Jallo Park can enjoy many things. There is a Forest Research Centre, a Wildlife Breeding Center, restaurants, coffee shops, a theme park, a sports complex, and a swimming pool. A large lake offers fishing and boating. The park is funded by the Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department of the Government of Punjab. People can reach it by taxi, TransLahore buses, or Lahore City Commuter trains stopping at Jallo Railway Station. Recently, a 100-acre area was set aside for a Botanical Garden and a Butterfly House for people to enjoy.

History

Jallo Park began in 1978 as a place where people could relax and have fun. Part of the park was made to help animals grow and have more babies. In 2007, many deer and birds were brought to the park to live there.

In 2008, the government improved the park. They added places to play sports such as tennis, volleyball, cricket, and soccer. They also built a long path for riding bikes. The park has a swimming pool that everyone can use.

Jallo Park Railway Station

This is a busy train station in Jallo Park. Many people use this station to travel to and from the city of Lahore on local trains. It is one of the smaller stations that helps people move around the area easily.

Species list

Jallo Park has many different animals. You can see birds like the Common pheasant, Indian peafowl, and Rock pigeon. The park also has animals such as the Asian black bear, Bactrian camel, Chital, Chinkara, and Sambar. Visitors might also spot reptiles like the Indian cobra and Mugger crocodile.
