Paolini was born on 4 January 1996. She is an Italian professional tennis player.
She has been ranked world No. 4 in singles by the WTA. This is the highest rank any Italian woman has reached in singles. She is also ranked No. 3 in doubles.
Paolini won a major doubles title at the 2025 French Open with her partner Sara Errani. She also won an Olympic gold medal in doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics, again with Errani.
On the WTA Tour, Paolini has won three singles titles and ten doubles titles. This includes two singles and five doubles WTA 1000 titles. She has also been to three major finals. Early life
Jasmine Paolini was born in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Her father, Ugo, is Italian and her mother, Jacqueline, is of Ghanaian and Polish descent, originally from Łódź. When she was five years old, her father and uncle introduced her to tennis. She began training at the Mirafiume Tennis Club in Bagni di Lucca.
When she was 15, Paolini moved to Tirrenia to train more. She has a younger brother named William who also plays tennis.
Career
Jasmine Paolini started playing tennis as a junior. She won her only junior title in 2013 and played in her first Grand Slam at the US Open that same year. In early 2014, she reached the third round at both the US Open and the Australian Open.
Paolini turned professional in the mid-2010s. In 2015, she got to play doubles at the Italian Open. Her first big win was in 2017 when she won a tournament in Marseille.
