The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council, also known as Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Selangor, is the group that helps take care of the town of Kuala Selangor.
The council makes sure the town stays clean, safe, and well-organized. It is part of the bigger Selangor state government, so it follows rules from the leaders of Selangor.
The council does many jobs, like keeping streets tidy, managing public places, and helping people in the community. Its work helps the town grow and stay a nice place to live.
History
The Kuala Selangor District Council started in 1978 under a law called Selangor State Law Handbill 18/78. It joined five local councils together: Kuala Selangor Local Council, Tanjong Karang Local Council, Batang Berjuntai (Bestari Jaya) Local Council, Ijok Local Council, and Jeram Local Council.
Administration
As of 15 December 2021, the Kuala Selangor Municipal Council had important leaders in charge of different areas. These included the President, Secretary, and heads of departments such as Treasury, Engineering, Property Valuation, Licensing, Health and Environment, Community Development, Management Services, Enforcement, Landscape, Building Control, Planning and Development, Local Central Unit, Legal Unit, Materials Procurement and Surveying, Tourism, Corporate and Public Relations, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Building Commissioner, and ICT Security Officer. Each leader helped manage and support the community of Kuala Selangor.

Legislation
The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council follows important laws to keep the town running smoothly. These laws include Acts, Encantments, Bylaws, and Rules.
