The Leipzig Botanical Garden is a beautiful place for plants in Leipzig, Germany. It is managed by the University of Leipzig and is the oldest botanical garden in Germany. It is open every day and free to visit.
The garden's history started in 1542, after the university was reformed. It has moved many times over the years. Today, it has around 7,000 different species of plants. These plants come from many parts of the world.
After damage during World War II, the garden was rebuilt. Now it has greenhouses with warm and tropical plants, and outdoor areas with plants from steppes, forests, prairies, and alpine regions. The garden is a great place to explore nature and learn about plants.
