Lutesvillia

Lutesvillia was an extinct group of ancient sea creatures called trilobites. Trilobites were special sea animals with a hard shell and jointed legs, like modern crabs or spiders, but they lived in the ocean millions of years ago.

Lutesvillia lived during the early part of the Arenig stage in the Ordovician Period. This was a time long ago, between about 478 and 471 million years back, when many different kinds of sea animals were just beginning to appear in the world's oceans.

Though Lutesvillia is no longer around today, fossils of these trilobites help scientists learn about life in the ancient seas and how these creatures lived and changed over time.
