Luzhniki Olympic Complex

The Luzhniki Olympic Complex is one of the biggest places for sports in the world. It was built in 1955 and 1956, and it is in the Khamovniki district of Moscow, Russia. It used to be called the Central Lenin Complex, and it was the main sports area for the 1980 Summer Olympics.

You can get to the complex by the Moscow Metro train, getting off at Sportivnaya, Vorobyovy Gory or Luzhniki.

Venues

The Luzhniki Olympic Complex has several important places for sports and big events. These include the Grand Sports Arena, also called Luzhniki Stadium, the Luzhniki Palace of Sports, the Luzhniki Small Sports Arena, the Olympic Pool, the Druzhba Multipurpose Arena, and the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Palace.
