Maël Tyrode

French athlete Maël Tyrode competing in the Nordic Combined World Cup in Oberhof during the 2025/26 season.

Maël Tyrode was born on 31 July 2000. He is a French Nordic combined skier. Nordic combined is a sport that includes ski jumping and cross-country skiing.

Tyrode represented France at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Competing in the Olympics is a big achievement for any athlete. It shows the hard work and training athletes do to reach this level.

Career

In January 2026, France got an extra spot for Nordic combined skiing. Maël Tyrode was chosen to be the third skier for his country at the 2026 Winter Olympics. He joined his teammates Laurent Muhlethaler and Marco Heinis.

Maël Tyrode competed in two events. On February 11, he took part in the individual normal hill and finished in 25th place. Then, on February 17, he competed in the individual large hill and came in 17th place.
