Malta Xlokk, also called the South Eastern Region, was a region of Malta from 1993 to 2009. It was on the main island of Malta, next to another region called Malta Majjistral. The capital city, Valletta, was inside this region. The name Malta Xlokk comes from a wind called the Sirocco, which is known as "Xlokk" in the Maltese language.

This region was created because of a law called the Local Councils Act, which was passed on June 30, 1993. Later, in 2001, it became part of Malta’s constitution. In 2009, a new law changed things, and Malta Xlokk was split into two new areas: the Southern Region and part of the South Eastern Region.
