Marc Dos Santos

Marc Dos Santos (born May 26, 1977) is a Canadian soccer coach. He is currently the head coach for Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer.
Before coaching Los Angeles FC, he was the head coach of Montreal Impact in the D2 Pro League and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. In 2015, he was named North American Soccer League Coach of the Year after leading the Ottawa Fury to the North American Soccer League Championship Final.
He has also coached at Swope Park Rangers in the United Soccer League and the San Francisco Deltas in the NASL. Before that, he worked with youth teams in Brazil, including Primeira Camisa and Palmeiras. He also served as a technical director for Desportivo Brasil.
Coaching career
Marc Dos Santos started coaching in 2006 with the Lac St. Louis Lakers in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec. In 2007, he joined the Montreal Impact to coach their reserve team, the Trois-Rivières Attak, in the Canadian Soccer League. With his help, the team won the Open Canada Cup and came second in their division.
Later, Dos Santos became an assistant coach with the Montreal Impact first team. He became head coach in 2009 and helped the team win the USL First Division that year. He also coached in Brazil with Primeira Camisa, Palmeiras, and Desportivo Brasil, working with youth teams.
In 2013, he joined Ottawa Fury as their first coach and was named Coach of the Year in 2015. He then coached Swope Park Rangers and took them to the USL Cup final. In 2017, he became the first head coach of the San Francisco Deltas and helped them win the league title. He later coached Vancouver Whitecaps FC before joining Los Angeles FC as an assistant coach. In December 2025, he was named head coach of Los Angeles FC.
Personal life
Marc Dos Santos is a citizen of both Canada and Portugal. He has a UEFA A coaching license and has worked at Chelsea and Porto. He speaks four languages and is married to Marie. They have three children. Marc is the older brother of soccer coach Phillip Dos Santos.
