Marko Tomasović (boxer)

Marko Tomasović is a boxer and kickboxer from Croatia. He was born on November 10, 1981.

He is tall, standing about 185 centimeters, or 6 feet 1 inch. He weighed 99 kilograms, or 218 pounds, when he competed. He fought in the super heavyweight division.

Tomasović is best known for qualifying to compete in the 2008 Summer Olympics. This showed his skill and dedication to boxing. Competing at this high level is a big achievement for any athlete.

Career

Marko Tomasović began his career in 2005 when he joined the W.A.K.O. World Amateur Kickboxing Championships in Szeged, Hungary. He reached the final but lost to Denys Simkin. In 2007, he tried boxing and lost his first match to David Price. That same year, he returned to kickboxing and won a silver medal at the world championships in Coimbra, Portugal.

Marko also tried to qualify for the Olympics. He won several matches and earned a spot in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. There, he faced Italian world champion Roberto Cammarelle in his first match and lost.

Titles

Marko Tomasović won many honors in kickboxing. As a professional, he was the runner-up in the 2006 K-1 Hungary and became the 2006 W.A.K.O. Pro Full-Contact Rules European Champion. He kept his title one time.

As an amateur, he fought in several W.A.K.O. Championships. He took part in the 2010 W.A.K.O. European Championships in Loutraki, Greece, the 2007 W.A.K.O. World Championships in Coimbra, Portugal, and the 2005 W.A.K.O. World Championships in Szeged, Hungary.
