Maura Genovesi was born on 25 May 1973 in Lucca. She is an Italian sport shooter.
She won a silver medal in women's sport pistol at the 2008 ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is part of the shooting team for Gruppo Sportivo Forestale and is coached by Aldo Andreotti.
Maura represented Italy at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She took part in two pistol shooting events. In the women's 10 m air pistol, she finished twenty-eighth. Three days later, she competed in the 25 m pistol.
