Museo nazionale del Palazzo di Venezia

The Museo Nazionale del Palazzo di Venezia is a museum in Rome, Italy. It is in a beautiful old building called the palace of the same name. This building also has an important Library of Archaeology and Art History.

Since 2020, the museum has been cared for by the VIVE Institute. This institute is part of the eleven main institutes of the Italian Ministry of Culture. It also manages another famous site, the Vittoriano. The museum and library share the same space, making it a special place to learn about art and history.

Collections

The museum has many beautiful paintings by famous artists such as Fra Angelico, Giorgione, Giotto, and Gian Lorenzo Bernini. You can also see pastels, sculptures, and many other interesting items like furniture, weapons, and glass.

There are about 3,000 works from the Wurts Collection, given to the museum in 1933. The garden area outside has a special space for old stone carvings. The museum also has temporary exhibitions.
