Musicians can play different kinds of music, such as pop, rock, jazz, or classical. Their style depends on their culture, experiences, and personal choices. Some musicians record music to share with others and are called recording artists. Others write music for movies, plays, and video games and are known as composers. Conductors help guide musical performances by leading groups like orchestras.
