Paul Marsh (politician)

Paul Marsh is an American mining executive and politician. He was the 12th Arizona State Mine Inspector. Governor Doug Ducey chose him for this job in October 2021 after Joe Hart left.
Marsh was part of the Republican Party. He later ran for a full term in the 2022 Arizona elections. On November 8, 2022, Marsh won the Mine Inspector election because he had no opponents. He kept this job until he left on August 15, 2025.
Early life and education
Paul Marsh grew up near Metro Phoenix. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve from June 1990 to June 1997. In 2011, he started working in the cement industry for CalPortland Company.
Mine Inspector of Arizona
Paul Marsh became the Mine Inspector of Arizona in October 2021. Governor Doug Ducey chose him for the job after Joe Hart left. Marsh later ran for the job and won without any opponents.
Marsh left the job on August 15, 2025, to move to Texas for a new job. The office told people about his leaving a month later, when Governor Katie Hobbs picked Les Presmyk to take his place.
