The Port of Gdynia is a busy Polish seaport on the western shore of the Gdańsk Bay in the Baltic Sea. It is in the city of Gdynia. The port started in 1926 and became an important place for moving goods by sea.

In 2008, the Port of Gdynia was second in handling special kinds of cargo called intermodal containers in the whole Baltic Sea area. This shows how busy and important the port was for trade and travel.

Near the port is a place for ships of the water army called the Gdynia Naval Base. They share the same waterways but are run separately. This helps both the port and the base work together while staying independent.

Trans-shipments

The Port of Gdynia has handled more goods each year. In 1924, it managed 10,000 tons. By 2023, this grew to 29,399,000 tons. The port has grown a lot, especially after 2000.
