The Price Formation is a special rock formation found in Virginia and West Virginia. It has many old fossils that help scientists learn about life from long ago. These fossils are from the Carboniferous period, a time millions of years before dinosaurs existed. Studying the Price Formation helps us understand how Earth, its plants, and its animals have changed over time.
