Redlichiidae is a family of ancient sea creatures called trilobites. These small, hard-shelled animals lived in the oceans long ago, from the Botomian to the Middle Cambrian period, about 520 to 510 million years ago.

Trilobites in the Redlichiidae family had special shapes and patterns on their shells. These help scientists learn about life in the early seas. They are important for understanding how life evolved on Earth because they were among the first complex animals found in fossils.

The Redlichiidae family has many different groups of trilobites, called genera. These are sorted into five subfamilies. Studying these fossils helps scientists imagine the ancient oceans and the creatures that lived there millions of years ago.
