The men's normal hill individual ski jumping competition was one of the events at the 1980 Winter Olympics. It took place at the Lake Placid Olympic Ski Jumping Complex, a special area built for snow sports. The competition happened on February 17, bringing together skiers from many countries to jump as far as they could down a snowy hill. Ski jumping is a fun and exciting sport where athletes speed down a ramp and fly through the air before landing on the snow below.
