Slovakia at the Olympics

Slovakia joined the Olympic Games in 1994 and has sent athletes to every Games since. Before that, Slovak athletes were part of the team for Czechoslovakia at the Olympics, because Czechoslovakia split into two countries in 1993.

Slovak athletes have won medals at the Summer Olympic Games, especially in slalom canoeing. The country has also won medals at the Winter Olympic Games.

The National Olympic Committee for Slovakia was created in 1992 and recognized in 1993. This committee helps organize and support Slovak athletes.
