Svalbardites

Svalbardites were a small group of sea creatures called trilobites. They lived in the ocean a very long time ago, during the Arenig stage of the Ordovician Period. This was about 478 to 471 million years ago. Scientists found fossils of Svalbardites in ancient rocks. These fossils help us learn about life in the early oceans before dinosaurs existed.
