The United People Alliance (Portuguese: Aliança Povo Unido or APU) was a group of political parties in Portugal. It started in 1978 for an election.

The main parties were the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) and the Portuguese Democratic Movement (MDP-CDE).

In 1983, the Ecologist Party "The Greens" joined too. But the alliance ended in 1987 when the MDP-CDE stopped working together. After this, the PCP teamed up with the Ecologist Party "The Greens" in a new group called the Democratic Unity Coalition.
