Vancouver Ravens

The Vancouver Ravens were the first lacrosse team to play in Vancouver as part of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). They played from 2002 until 2004. Their home games were at General Motors Place, now called Rogers Arena, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Ravens had an agreement to play at General Motors Place for three years. When this agreement ended, they could not get a new one to stay there. They also could not make plans to play at another arena called Pacific Coliseum. Because of this and because not many fans came to the games, the NLL decided in December 2004 that the Ravens would stop playing. They did not play in the 2005 season.

Later, in 2007, some people tried to bring the Vancouver Ravens back for the 2008 season. They needed to sign an agreement to use an arena and sell 2,500 season tickets. They got the arena agreement, but then the NLL changed its mind and said the Ravens still could not play in 2008.

After the Ravens stopped playing, another team called the Vancouver Warriors started playing in Vancouver. This team was previously named the Washington Stealth and played in Everett, Washington, before moving to Vancouver in 2018.
