Wolf Prize in Mathematics

The Wolf Prize in Mathematics is given almost every year by the Wolf Foundation in Israel. It is one of six Wolf Prizes started by the Foundation in 1978. The other prizes are for Agriculture, Chemistry, Medicine, Physics, and Arts. Winners of the Wolf Prize in Mathematics receive a cash award of $100,000.

In surveys from 2013 and 2014, the Wolf Prize in Mathematics was ranked as the third most respected international award in math. It is less common than the Abel Prize and the Fields Medal, but it is still very important in the world of mathematics.
