The Šumadija District (Serbian: Шумадијски округ, romanizedŠumadijski okrug, pronounced ) is one of the administrative districts of Serbia. It is found in the heart of the country, in a region also called Šumadija. This area is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich history.

As of the 2022 census, the Šumadija District is home to 269,728 people. The largest city and administrative center of the district is Kragujevac, which plays an important role in the area. This city has many historical buildings and is a place where people can learn about the past and enjoy modern life.

History
