Daniel Hernandez, known as 6ix9ine, Tekashi69, or Tekashi 6ix9ine, is an American rapper born on May 8, 1996. Daniel Hernandez was born on May 8, 1996, in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. His mother worked in factories and as a house cleaner, and she came from Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico. His father was from Río Piedras, Puerto Rico.

Hernandez grew up going to church with his older brother. He went to Public School 59 for elementary school, Juan Morel Campos Secondary School for middle school, and Legacy High School for high school, but he left school around the tenth grade.
