Anglo-America
Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Anglo-America is a term used to describe a part of the Americas where English is the main language and where British culture and the British Empire have played an important role in history, culture, and language. This area includes the United States, most of Canada, and a few Caribbean countries.
This region is different from Latin America, which is made up of countries where Romance languages like Spanish, Portuguese, and French are spoken. When people talk about "Anglo-American law," they usually mean the common law system, which is used in many countries that were once part of the British Empire.
The close relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States is sometimes called the Special Relationship. Before the United States became independent, these areas were known as British America.
Geographic region
Canada is one of the main countries in Anglo-America, but some areas like Quebec and Inuit Nunangat are not included because most people there do not speak English. Even though places like Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, and Saba mostly speak English, they are also not part of Anglo-America because they belong to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
